The History of Brights Zoo
Beginning in 2007, we allowed school groups to see our facilities. These trips are meant to teach children of all ages about important concerns relating to the protection and care of animals worldwide.
- Self-directed and guided tours are available at Brights Zoo. Learning to recognize animals at each exhibit, adaptations for survival, and general knowledge, as well as intriguing facts about each species, are all addressed. Photographing animals is welcomed.
- Animal care focuses on the day-to-day tasks of caring for animals, with a particular emphasis on feeding practices and veterinary treatment. The diet and nutrition of animals in captivity and in their natural habitat are covered by feeding habits. Veterinary care includes information on common animal pests and parasites, as well as prevention and treatment options.
- Conservation refers to man’s effect on the environment and emphasizes the need of preserving natural habitats for wild animal survival.
