Dickerson Park Zoo was established in Springfield, MO, in 1922. About 500 animals symbolize the 160 species in the zoo. The zoo is located inside Dickerson Park in Springfield, Missouri.

Dickerson Park Zoo’s 55 acres are home to hundreds of animals, representing habitats in Africa, Tropical Asia, South America, Australia, and North America.

This Park Zoo is a recognized member of the Zoo and Aquarium Association. DPZ contributes to the AZA program known as the Species Survival Plan.
